PeterHere you are. Oh, may I have two aisle seats, please

ClerkLet me check. Oh yes, there are two seats 12C and 12D, you can sit.

NancyGreat. Thanks a lot.

ClerkBy the way, how many baggage do you have to check in

NancyTow, and I have a carry on.

ClerkOk. That’s fine.

PeterGood. What time do you begin boarding

ClerkWe begin boarding at 520 p.m.

Conversation A:

A: Hi. I’d like to make a deposit of 2000 dollars.

B: You will need to fill out a deposit slip, please.

A: I also like to apply for an ATM card.

B: Sure. Please fill out this application.

 

Conversation B:

A: Good morning, Ms.

B: Good morning, sir.

A: Could you tell me where to find the currency exchange?

B: Right here. How can I help you, sir?

A: I’d like to change 5000 Taiwanese dollars into US dollars, please.

B: Do you have an account with this bank, sir?

A: Yes. Here’s my account number. (A shows his checkbook)

B: May I please see an ID?

A: sure. Here’s my passport. By the way, what’s the rate today?

B: Today’s rate is 34.2 Taiwanese dollars for 1 US dollar. Here’s your money, sir. Please count it and sign your name here.

A: it’s the correct amount.  Where can I cash traveler’s checks?

B: You can cash them here. How much do you want to cash?

A: I need eight 100s and the rest in 10s, please.

B: OK. Here you are.

A: Thanks. Have a nice day.

 

Conversation C:

A: Good afternoon! What can I do for you today?

B: good afternoon: I’d like to open a bank account, please.

A: Would you like to have a savings account or a checking account or both?

B: I’m not sure. What’s the difference?

A: Well, a savings account pays interest on your money, but there are some restrictions. You have to put in a minimum of $ 500. If you are less than $500 in your savings account, we’ll charge you a ten-dollar monthly fee.

B: Then what about a checking account?

A: A checking account allows you to write an unlimited number of checks or you may withdraw your money from ATMS. You pay for printing the checks, but that’s all. And with your checking account is a debit card that you can use like a credit card.

B: I see. I think I’ll take both.

A: Sure. Please fill out this application.
